A brief history of Redditch Lifesavers

Redditch Lifesavers started out in 1976. Initially it was called "Redditch Life Guard Club". The club met Tuesday nights at Hewell Road Swimming Baths in Redditch. The first Chairman was Mike Gregory.

In the late 1970's Liz Prater (Current Club President), started the annual trip to Poole which has continued to this day.

The club regularly patrolled at Swanpool in North Worcester, on Sunday mornings to provide lifeguard cover.

The club continued in the late 80's and 90's providing education for its members.

The Club continues to grown and develop. It had a recent name change in 2017 to its current name of Redditch Lifesavers.
